How do I request a Visa Letter?
If you need to apply for a business visa, please refer to these resources:

  • Complete the Sales Events – Visa Invitation Letter – Request Form
• Support/Cover Letters
  • Raise a ticket on the People Portal.
  • A support/cover letter is an enhanced employment verification letter used for business travel. If you require one be sure to choose the proper selection from the drop-down.
  • You must attach a copy of this training registration to your ticket.
  • The standard processing time for the letters is 3-5 business days.
• Visa Processing Times
  • Visa processing times vary at consulates and may be long. If you require a business visa we highly recommend applying as soon as possible.
• Visa Agency Assistance:
  • All India-based employees must contact AMEX for visa and travel booking support
    • For visa support: in.visasupport@amexgbt.com
    • For travel booking: in.inttravel@amexgbt.com
  • All other employees can reach out to CIBT Visas, Nutanix’s Business Visa Preferred Vendor, or any reputable visa agency.

Receipts for these visa application fees can be submitted in Expensify for reimbursement.

What dates am I approved to travel?
International attendees will be approved to arrive either Saturday or Sunday before the event begins. Domestic attendees will be approved to arrive on Sunday.

Where is the program taking place?
Global Sales New Hire Training is taking place in San Jose, CA. The training will take place at Nutanix HQ. A hotel room block has been reserved at the Residence Inn San Jose Airport. Hotel reservations will be made for you during event registration. Please do not contact the hotel directly or book your own reservation.

How do I book flights?
Please book flights as you normally do. Select “Training/Seminars” for business purposes. If you have any questions, please email travel@nutanix.com.

What airport should I fly into?
You should fly through San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC). If you are unable to fly into SJC, an alternative airport is San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

What time should I depart on Friday?
Flights should be booked after 1:00 PM out of San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC). Flights out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) should be booked no earlier than 3:00 PM. International attendees are permitted to stay Friday night, and depart Saturday – if they are unable to depart on Friday.

What if I can’t find a flight on Friday evening?
If there is no availability for a flight after 3:00 PM on Friday, you may stay Friday night and depart on Saturday.

Can I rent a car?
No, rental cars are not required for this program and thus are not approved to be expensed.

What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please note all dietary restrictions during event registration.
